Sharpening Lever, Screw 2 Pole 4 pk 47-LVES-D

Our Sharpening Lever, Screw, 2 Pole, 4 pk are Screw-pivot, double pole, sharpening levers for harps. The Lever has a screwed arm that lifts to change the note of the string from the natural note to the sharp. The screw holds the arm, but is not adjustable for tension. When the lever is down it is free of the strings. When the lever is in the up position, it is engaging the strings. These have a grooved double pole mechanism, usually used for longer and thicker strings.

Measure your existing levers carefully to match the size.

With the lever in the down position, measure from the anchor plate of the lever (the part screwed to the harp) to the poles. The distance to the closer, bottom pole is 9 mm (standard), 10mm (wide), 8mm (sm & lg matt). The distance to the further, upper pole is 19 mm(standard & lg matt), 18mm (sm matt), 21mm (wide). The over all length of the lever in the down position is 1 11/16 inches, 43 mm (standard), 1 3/4in (wide, sm & lg matt). The length of the pole itself is 5 mm(standard, sm & lg matt), 8mm (wide).

The amount of lift, can be adjusted by pulling or pushing the bridge pin in by a 1/16 of an inch. This changes the point at which the string is engaged by the pole. You can also loosen the screw holding the lever to the harp and move the lever up or down. Again, by only a 1/16 of an inch at a time; very minor changes will have profound effects on the string’s notes.

You need to supply your own 5/8 inch wood screw to attach the lever; available at most hardware stores.

Scandinavian Vendel Chieftain's Sword Damascus Blade - Tin Plated - Brass Hilt Accents - PRS411D
This 8th Century Scandinavian Vendel Sword has a blade which is skillfully forged from Damascus steel and its brilliant and ripple-like patterning was created when several different steels were forged together into a single blade. Original swords of this type were usually created with pattern welded blades which, like damascus, were forged by melding together several different steels into a single blade in a process which left visible patterning on the blade surface.

The finely detailed guard and pommel of the hilt are made from quality-cast brass with a tin plated finish and these components are completed with contrasting bands of antiqued brass for contrast. Historically, tin was a prized decorative element for swords such as this due to its relative scarcity and resemblance to silver. The grip is made from hardwood and the blade is durably anchored into the hilt. Like originals, the pommel is a two-part construction created by riveting a pommel cap over the pommel base. Red enamel is inlaid into the pommel to give it a blaze of scarlet color as seen on the preserved swords of champions, nobles and chieftains.

Included with the sword is leather-bound scabbard of wood with tin-plated brass fittings and a wooden suspension loop which can be used to sling the sword from your own sword belt or baldric.
