Lobster Tailed Helmet 17th Century

The lobster-tailed pot helmet, also known as a horseman's pot or harquebusier's pot, was a type of post-Renaissance combat helmet. It became popular in Europe, especially for cavalry soldiers and officers, from 1600 through the 17th century.

Our functional Lobster Tailed Helmet 17th Century is made from steel and is available with several custom options. The options for this helm include: Standard or Custom sized to your measurements, Padded or leather liner. Now includes a leather chin strap.

The pot helm comes in three steel thicknesses of: 14 gauge, 16 gauge or 17 gauge steel for use in live steel or SCA fighting. Other options include a matt or polished finish.
